Ana Poeck

Dr. Poeck was born and raised in beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up, Dr. Poeck always dreamed of being a veterinarian. After high school, Dr. Poeck moved to Miami to attend college. She graduated with honors in Biology from Barry University, and was then accepted at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, one of the world’s top veterinary schools. After completing her studies in 2011, Dr. Poeck moved back to the Sunshine State to complete a rigorous internship at Miami Veterinary Specialists, one of South Florida’s leading veterinary specialty hospitals. Dr. Poeck currently works with small animals (dogs and cats), but she loves all animals and has had many different pets of her own over the years, including sheep, chickens, ducks, lizards, frogs, and even a jumping spider named Julietta. In her free time, Dr. Poeck enjoys spending time with her family and their 3 dogs, reading, baking (she is known for her delicious chocolate cake), and traveling. Dr. Poeck joined our team in 2023 and would love to meet you and your pets!
